Today Change.org announced that we’ll be giving our entire global staff 18 weeks paid parental leave. The new policy applies to all parents — dads, what is ed moms, biological, adoptive, etc.
David Hanrahan, Change.org’s Head of HR, wrote an OpEd calling on U.S. companies to provide paid parental leave:
“The state of parental leave in the U.S. sucks…Should your employees be penalized with reduced pay for taking protected parental leave? From both a practical and emotional level, I believe the answer is no. It’s time for U.S. companies to set policies that do right by their employees and reflect the evolving notion of family.”
